Minimum visit requirements for pet sitting
A minimum of 2 visits per 12 hours for healthy uncrated adult dogs or pups with doggie dog
access.
A minimum of 3 visits per 12 hours for puppies, crated and elderly dogs.
A minimum of 1 visit per 4 hours for puppies under 9 months.
If traveling overnight, Pawjama Party service is also required.
A minimum of once every 24 hours for cats or small animals.
***We do not allow cats access to the outdoors during our care.**

Meet and Greet:
New customers receive one free consultation visit. Please have key ready to
provide to us. All keys are duplicated for emergencies and back-up pet care and are kept in a secure
locked key box. Keys are not labeled with identifying information such as client's full name or
address. If you have an electronic coded pad, we also require a physical key for access to the house
in the event of power outages or other mechanical malfunctions. Please ensure that your home is
always secure and that all locks are functioning properly.
Evening, night or weekend requests are in high demand.
Additional notice is appreciated to accommodate these requests.

Communication: We use a client portal software system which allows clients to request the services they need 24/7.
The portal allows for the streamlining of all communications between the company, it's employees and clients to ensure that
no information is missed. Time to Pet also has an app so you can access all of it's features from the palm of your hand. We ask that all clients use their required Time to Pet accounts when contacting us for continuity.

Specific Time Requests: We do our best to accommodate specific time requests for you and your
pet’s needs for daily visits. Due to high volume requests and travel time during peak mid-day times
we operate within a one-hour window before or after requested time. All requests are scheduled on
a first come first served basis. If an emergency or unforeseen circumstance should occur, a time
window may need to be adjusted to accommodate that situation.
Last Minute Requests (Less than 24-hour notice): Since scheduling pet companions can be tricky,
especially for last minute situations, there is a $10.00 “last minute” visit fee. Last minute visits will not be
guaranteed unless there is an approved confirmation and are subject to pet companion availability.
Emergency Requests (Less than 5-hour notice): There will be an additional charge of $15.00
for each visit for same day emergency requests.
Out of Hours: Requests for visits before 7:30am and after 8:30pm incur an additional charge of
$10.00 per visit.
Holidays: Visits are by request only and do not fall under a normal Monday-Friday schedule.
Federal Holiday (any bank or postal holiday) rates apply at an additional $5.00 per visit.
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve and Day rates apply at an
additional $10.00 per visit
Office Hours: Calls, texts and emails will be returned between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday
Any messages received after 5:00 PM will be returned on and considered to be the next
business day. Requests for weekend visits must be received prior to close of business on Friday at 5:00 pm or will not be received until Monday at 9:00 am, as phones and emails are not monitored during non-business hours.
Payment: We accept Paypal, Venmo, Cash and Checks. A 50% non-refundable deposit required at the time of booking, this will reserve the dates and times that you request for you and only you. The remaining 50% balance is 14 days prior to the first day of service. Any reservations made with less than 14 days prior to first visit are due in full at time of booking.
Any bookings that fall over a federal holiday are due in full at the time of reservation. Any changes to the dates or times of visits with less than 14 days prior notice will be subject to the full price charges of reservation as confirmed at the time of booking.

Returned Checks: There will be a $35.00 fee for returned checks. Two returned checks will result in
our services convert to cash only.
Service is not guaranteed without a paid deposit and an emailed confirmation from For The Love of Paws, LLC.

Weather: You entrust For The Love of Paws to use our best judgment in caring for your pets(s) and
home/facility if we are visiting at the time of inclement weather. For The Love of Paws will try to carry
out your instructions to the best of our ability. The care we provide to our client’s pets and their safety
is our first concern. We have requested that you provide the name and phone number of a person
living nearby (with access to your home) in your profile. This should be a person close enough to walk
to your home if roads are impassable (for example, a neighbor). If we are physically unable to drive to
your home this information is needed so that we can contact this person to request their assistance to
check on your pet(s). If the client does not provide a nearby emergency contact with access to your
home the client understands that For The Love of Paws will provide service but not until conditions
allow us to reach your home safely. You will be called immediately and notified that our emergency
plan has been activated.
Authorized access to your home: For The Love of Paws is not responsible for other persons in your
home prior to, during, or immediately after our services have been rendered and who are not
employees of For The Love of Paws. Please inform us at the time of the consultation of anyone who
may have access to your home while you are away. This includes cleaning services, maintenance
personnel, friends, family and neighbors. It is understood that the client will notify anyone with
access to the home that the services of For The Love of Paws have been engaged. Unexpected
guests will be asked to leave; the police will be notified if they do not comply. All individuals providing
shared pet care must provide detailed records in the For The Love of Paws notebook. If people are
entering your home other than For The Love of Paws owner, IC’s, or employees, For The Love of
Paws cannot be held responsible for the loss, injury, or death of your pets. For The Love of Paws will
also NOT be held responsible for any damage to your home or theft that occurs if anyone other than
For The Love of Paws is entering your home or property.
For The Love of Paws does not provide Critter Sitter or Pawjama Party services while there are
occupants staying in the home.
Unauthorized access to your home: If For The Love of Paws should arrive to find a car, person or
persons at your home that we have not been made aware of we will make ONE attempt to contact
you. If unable to reach you, we will immediately contact the police before entering your home.

Accidents: Every pet has an accident occasionally. For The Love of Paws will clean up after your pets
to the best of our ability. Please inform us of the designated area for the appropriate cleaning
supplies. For The Love of Paws is not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s). If
there are accidents above and beyond the normal amount anticipated or this becomes an on-going
issue, For The Love of Paws will charge a fee based on $15 per 15 minutes of clean-up time or $40
per hour.
Unforeseen Purchases or Vet Emergencies: It is the client’s responsibility to provide all needed
food and supplies for your pets. If we need to purchase supplies, you will be billed for such supplies
and the time/gas involved for us to gather such supplies. Additional time will be billed at the cost of
$40 per hour.
Emergency to Pet companion: In the case of an emergency to the pet sitter, you and/or your
emergency contact will be notified. A replacement pet companion from For The Love of Paws will
be delegated for overnight and pet sitting services.
Please be prepared for your departure by providing everything that your pet might need in your
absence. This includes but is not limited to a surplus of your pets’ food and treats, water (if bottled),
extra medications, any cleaning supplies such as paper towels and disinfectants. If any of the
above items or necessities are not available to us, or run out during your time away, client will
reimburse us for supply cost and a fee will be charged for supply pick up
Home emergency: In the event of an emergency to your home, we will contact you first if reachable
and then your emergency contact. They will be responsible for retaining such emergency services to
your home should a problem occur. Such problems could be plumbing, or HVAC related, weather
damage, etc.
Emergency to your pet: If a medical emergency to your pet should arise, For The Love of Paws, LLC
reserves the right to seek out immediate veterinary treatment. Transportation and emergency fees:
should the need arise to transport your pet to the veterinarian for an emergency visit, a charge will be
issued.
Every 25 minutes in transport, or at the veterinarian’s office, is equal to one visit charge, or $40 per
hour. Due to the other animals in our care, sometimes it may be necessary to drop your pet off at the
vet and pick them up later. We will transport to animal hospitals within an 8-mile radius of our service
area only. If your veterinarian is further, we reserve the right to use a clinic in closer proximity to our
service area. If an emergency should arise and more visits to your home than anticipated are
necessary, owner will pay For The Love of Paws, LLC for the additional visits.
Should an unfortunate accident or long-term illness suggest the euthanasia of your beloved pet, we
require an emergency number for you, and an additional contact acting as your emergency
representative be issued to us, so that the veterinarian will have proper authorization.
In the event of the unfortunate passing of your pet, we require pre-arrangements be in place so that
we may carry out your wishes. If you plan to use your veterinary office for these services, please
contact them to confirm that they do offer in-home and transportation services.

Reservation & Cancellation Pawlicy
All reservations must be made using the Time to Pet portal.
​
A 50% non-refundable deposit required at the time of booking, this will reserve the dates and times that you request for you and only you. The remaining 50% balance is 14 days prior to the first day of service.
Any bookings that fall over a federal holiday are due in full at the time of reservation. Any changes to the dates or times of visits with less than a two weeks’ notice will be subject to the full price charges of reservation as confirmed at the time of booking.
Changes or cancellations prior to 14 days of first day of reservation will be given a credit, of any balance over the 50% non-refundable deposit towards future services to be used within one calendar year. We do not give refunds. Credits are non-transferable.
**A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required for booking a reservation during summer months, school vacations and holidays.
As always advanced notice is appreciated throughout the year.
All out of town service dates are to be confirmed via email and invoice through the Time to Pet client portal. Any changes to the dates or times of visits with less than 14 days' notice will be subject to the full price charges of reservation as confirmed in writing. **
Please contact us as soon as possible if you are running late in leaving for your trip. If you cancel after your pet companion has
been dispatched or we arrive to find you do not need our services, full price charges for that visit will apply. Should we
arrive to find someone unexpectedly at your home, we will make ONE attempt to contact you, if we are unable to reach you,
we will then immediately contact the police.
Delayed flights, traffic and weather can all cause delays in returning home from your trip as planned. If you need to extend
your reservation, please call or text and we will be happy to continue to visit your pet(s) until you are able to make it home
safely.
Please call or text when you arrive home. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that there has been a delay and will
continue to visit your pet and normal rates will apply.
**No refund or credit will be given should you return home earlier than your confirmed schedule dates.
SNOW AND ICE: Please be sure we can safely access your home. Arrangements should be made for plowing of driveways
and a shoveled and sanded and/or pet safe salted path and stairs. Please provide towels and cleaning supplies for wet dogs and muddy paws on rainy and snowy days.
